COURSE DESCRIPTION

AUXILARY NURSE MIDWIVES/HEALTH WORKER(FEMALE)

The course is a 2 years full time program which is affiliated to UP state medical faculty Lucknow and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.

Eligibility criteria:

1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st
December of the year in which admission is sought.
2. The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
3. Angawadi, Asha workers and Trained Dias for admission to ANM course
in Government Multipurpose Health Worker Training Schools/ANM
schools shall be relaxed from 35 years to 42 years.
4. The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of 12
years of schooling (10+2 year course) recognized by
CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or a recognized equivalent examination.
5. Admission is subject to satisfactory medical examination report.
6. Admission for ANM is restricted only for female candidates

Extension:

The course can be extended for a duration of 5 years if case of failure in exam or any other casuality.

Aim:

The ANM course aims to train skilled nursing professionals who can contribute effectively in both urban and rural hospitals. As trained nurses, they become essential members of the medical team, playing a crucial role in patient care. Graduates of this program are also eligible to work in both government and private hospitals, ensuring wider career opportunities in the healthcare sector.

Objectives:

They will be trained to deliver effective care to the community.

They can join healthcare sectors where they can conduct surveys promoting preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of healthcare.
